South Coast Motocross Club - How it began
The club has been located at Murray Bridge/Monarto since 2015. The club was originally located in Old Noarlunga, and held club, state national events for Juniors and hired the track at Murray Bridge to hold Senior and Junior State Titles events.
Unfortunately, the club closed in 2009, but was re-opened in 2013 by a group of passionate Motocross riders and parents that decided to take on the challenge of opening the Quarry Road, Old Noarlunga. With the support of the Motocross Community, dedicated families and local businesses the track was reopened for junior riders in February 2014. The South Coast Motocross Club was re-established with a new logo, a new committee and lease.
June of 2014, the club secured the lease on the Murray Bridge MX Track, as the current club was no longer using the facilities for their club race days, the committee at South Coast MX secured the 3-year lease on the track.
The track at Murray Bridge is a National level MX Track accompanied with a junior development training track. The club has a VIP corporate viewing facility, a large canteen and bar, lap box, with a PA system through out the location, several toilet blocks including hot showers and our family camp kitchen area plus bunk house.
The club runs motocross events all year round. The committee puts on over 10 successful events for riders of all ages and stages to compete in. The motocross track is regarded throughout Australia as the premier track in South Australia and rates in the top tracks across our nation. Motocross events held in 2018, were 3 Club Days, Round 2 of the SA State Titles, and Round 5 of the Australian MX Nationals. We were also lucky to hold a SA State Title round for the Australian Sidecar Association
